22 Sept. 1975 Glanyrafon H Hayscastle Cross Haverfordwest, Pembs. Many thanks. What you are really doing is forming a group for the study of demonology. Therefore I would urge ultra-caution. These forces are powerful beyond our dreams. One point I would particularly stress. The only people who can become involved and yet walk away safely are those who are morally pure. This is why exorcists are such rare birds like Donald Omand. After an exorcism he used to take a nip of whiskey to warm himself. This became two nips, then three. He either had to pack up exorcism or cut whiskey out entirely...which is what he did. - After the Loch Ness exorcism the following strange circumstances occured. The BBC people refused to offer us lunch and kept the hospitality money provided for this purpose in their pocket. Wing Commander Cary and myself had a few drams at the hotel bar instead. Then a friend of his invited us down to his boathouse where he had a bottle. Eventually we set out in Basil's boat to cross the loch when a yacht appeared in difficulties. We were both plied with large amounts of whiskey and eventually reached shore dead drunk and unable to stand. Why we didn't upset the boat I don't know. I am a very moderate drinker and thought this unseemly and dangerous affair so uncharacteristic I told Dr Omand...and he was not surprised at all. He said that "They" had tried to get rid of me and I should stay away from the loch for the rest of my visit, which I did. Therefore I should explain fully to Dr Omand what you have in mind regarding this group and take his advice. Had I not taken his advice over the UFO landing I should probably have wandered up there and had some sort of induced hallucination. The only thing I basically disagree with on the printed sheet "Thoughts On UFO Phenomena" you sent me is where it says at the beginning that it is an objective fact. There are other grades of being between objective and non-objective not yet recognised by our science. I call them pseudo-objects. UFOs and the Loch Ness monster are of this class. All this is part of what St Paul called "Spiritual wickedness in high places". You don't mention what you are reading at Cambridge but you may do more to combat the MIB by taking up some profession. Sincerely F. W. Holiday
