Bohol apparitions
stir up townsfolk

the sky looking at what they say was an appari-
tion. When professional photographer Ponciano
Ramasola, Jr., however, took a shot of the
phenomenon, all that appeared were the bright
rays of sun pearing through dark clouds (right).
Ramasola said the image seen by himself and the
students was that of a big human eye and the sun
whirling around a rainbow of colors.
Eight apparitions have already been reported
in Maribojoc town since July 26. The last one was
last Aug. 14 when these photos were taken. The
unusual heavenly spectacles have stirred the
superstitious beliefs of the town's old folk as well
as the young ones. Images of Jesus Christ, the
Virgin Mary and St. Joseph have alternately
appeared in the skies of Maribojoc. (Z. Dejares-
